Georgia’s Independence Day Reception Held by the Embassy of Georgia in Lisbon

 

On 3 June 2026, the Embassy of Georgia hosted a reception at SUD Lisboa in Lisbon to mark Georgia’s Independence Day.

The reception was attended by representatives of Portugal’s executive and legislative authorities, the diplomatic corps accredited in Portugal, international organizations, academic and business circles, as well as representatives of culture, the media, and the Georgian diaspora.

H.E. Levan Tsurtsumia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Portuguese Republic, addressed the attendees.

The reception featured a Georgian musical programme performed with the participation of a Portuguese band. A photo exhibition showcasing Georgia’s cultural heritage and tourism potential was also held as part of the event.
